Day 2
Much more difficult of a day...the antibiotics that they were going to give me. I told them I have really bad side effects to but they wanted me to try them anyways. Well, sure enough 30 min into the IV... nausea, stomach cramping, extreme lower back pain, flush....then, lunch came...dry porkchops..in which I proceeded to choke..not just a little but full fledge couldnt breathe and had dad on the way to get the nurse. Defnitely didn't help with the back pain. Oh, then my nurse came in to give me my second shot of steriods. The first one I received in the buttocks..felt like I was 5 years old again. But, the 2nd time the nurse said I could get in the arm which seemed much more appealing for me. However, instead of just a shot in the shoulder she shot it right in the nerve...cannot explain that pain. I couldn't sleep even with the ambien and tylenol and heating pad....rough night. Hoping tomorrow is better. Good news is I made friends with the lunch lady...ice cream and chocolate cake for the rest of my stay...jk...well i can splurge sometimes can't I?? Nonetheless, God is Sovereign and faithful in ALL things. My son is doing the best possible and I am in the best place possible for both of us. Please pray for continual stability and the my house will sell ASAP. Thank you for all the prayers and support!
Day 1
Well, I worked 5:45AM till 1:45PM...my almost regular shift at Chick-Fil-A. Definitely the hardest day I had yet as far as back pain, fatigue...etc. I had an OB appt...32 wk check-up. Mom came with me with her LIST of concerns...I definitely thought she was overreacting. Well, they ended up testing to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid and sure enough I was. End of discussion- I was being admitted to the hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy...just like that. Within an hour my entire day, week, and weeks ahead changed. Once admitted they did a Beta strep test and tested to see how much amniotic fluid I had leaked and if the baby was endangered. Good news is that the baby is doing great...head down, plenty of fluid and nice and healthy! I have yet to get the strep test back however they put me on antibiotics just in case so either way it's a non-issue. They moved me from Labor and Delivery to a much more comfortable room once they knew everything was stable and good. Thank goodness. Ambien at 10pm...end of day 1.
